EnterTrain: making physical activity playful

The objective of EnterTrain is given by its name: enhancing the health and quality of life of independently living older adults by motivating them for physical Training in an Entertaining way. It has positive effects on fall prevention, the mobility and consequently supports people towards a more independent life.

EnterTrain makes physical activity playful, diverting and fun – by turning them in so called exercise games (or exergames). These computer games are played via body movement, in different body positions (sitting, standing) and can be used alone or together with other participants. The movements are detected by a 3D sensor and interpreted by the EnterTrain platform. The system adapts automatically and continuously to the user’s preferences, skills and mobility and can thus assess general agility and possible behavioural changes.
